Itinerary

Day 1 :

Arrival in Leh: Arrive in Leh, the capital of Ladakh, and take it easy to acclimatize to the high altitude (approximately 3,500 meters or 11,500 feet). Rest and hydrate to avoid altitude sickness.

Day 2 :

Leh Local Sightseeing: Visit some of the local attractions in Leh, including Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist stupa offering panoramic views of Leh city and the surrounding mountains. Explore Leh Palace, a former royal palace and Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, an ancient monastery perched on a hilltop.

Leh Market: Spend the evening exploring the vibrant Leh market, known for its Tibetan handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional Ladakhi cuisine.

Day 3 :

Nubra Valley: Embark on a breathtaking drive to Nubra Valley, crossing the world's highest motorable pass, Khardung La (5,359 meters or 17,582 feet). Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the cold desert and visit the Diskit Monastery and Hunder Sand Dunes, where you can enjoy a double-humped Bactrian camel ride.

Day 4 :

Pangong Lake: Drive to the famous Pangong Lake, known for its ever-changing colors. The lake stretches across the Indo-China border, and its beauty is simply awe-inspiring. Spend time by the lake, soaking in the serenity of the surroundings.

Day 5 :

Hemis and Thiksey Monasteries: Visit Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, known for its annual Hemis Festival. Continue to Thiksey Monastery, perched on a hill and offering stunning views of the Indus Valley.

Shey Palace: Visit Shey Palace, the former summer palace of the Ladakhi kings, which houses a 12-meter-high gold-plated copper statue of Buddha.

Day 6 :

Alchi and Lamayuru Monasteries: Take a day trip to Alchi Monastery, known for its ancient frescoes and murals, and Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and largest monastic complexes in Ladakh.

Day 7 :

Departure: Bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Ladakh and depart for your onward journey, carrying back cherished memories of the high-altitude desert.

Please note that Ladakh is accessible only during the summer months (from May to September) due to heavy snowfall in the winter.
